We are taking a lot of steps to make your living environment more attractive, safer and more convenient. Below, we explain what is changing.
1. New main entrance
The current entrance will disappear. There will be a new entrance with a revolving door that is locked in the evening. Visitors will be able to enter via an intercom. This will improve security in the complex. The entrance will also include:
- New mailboxes
- A parcel wall (optional with subscription) for the safe delivery of parcels
2. Central meeting room
There will be a meeting room next to the entrance. During the day, you can use this space without a reservation. There is one large room and two smaller study rooms. You can book the meeting room in the evening, as is currently the case. There is also wifi and a pantry.
3. New bicycle storage facility
The current outdoor bicycle storage will disappear. This is why we are enlarging the basement. You will be able to reach the basement by means of two new ramps. This will soon be able to accommodate the bicycles of all the residents. From the basement, you can access the lift directly.
4. Central launderette
Currently, each corridor has its own washing machine. This system regularly presents challenges, both in terms of maintenance and use by residents. As a result, we will be creating one large launderette for all residents on the first floor.
- We expect that the central laundry facility can be put into use from 01-08-2027
- You can book machines using an app
- You will be notified when your laundry is ready
- Once the launderette is open, the washing machines will be removed from the various corridors.
5. Sustainable hot water supply
The current gas-fired boilers will disappear. A heat pump will be installed on the roof. This will supply hot water in a sustainable way. The pipes will run through the stairwell by means of a new shaft. The quantity of hot water will remain the same.
6. New office for Idealis
The new Idealis office will be located on the ground floor and mezzanine. The entrance at the front of the building will provide shared access for residents and Idealis employees. This area will also include our Front Office, which tenants can turn to with any questions they may have. At the rear of the building, on the site of the current PhD apartments, we are creating the office with workstations for approximately 40 employees.
7. Painting of the exterior frames
The outside of all exterior window and door frames will be painted. For this, you will need to open your window once. We will inform you in advance about the schedule.
